Executive Express Entry
There are two programs suitable for executive-level individuals who want to work in Canada during the process of applying for permanent residence in the country. Both the Owner Operator LMIA work permit and the Intra-Company Transfer are for those coming to Canada for the foreseeable future and will be actively working within the country.
Owner Operator
This program is for those who will be buying an existing business in Canada or setting up a new business. These individuals may want an alternative to the provincial two-step entrepreneurial program streams and therefore select the national program instead.
In addition to buying or setting up a business, those considered for this program are also:
- Applying for the Owner Operator LMIA
- Getting a work permit to work within your business
- Applying through the Express Entry program and becoming a permanent resident of Canada.
Intra-Company Transfer
In this program, an employee working for an international organization will have a location in Canada. The foreign worker will be transferring from one of the company’s foreign locations to a different location in Canada.
